Theresa McDermott

I have been a Graphic Designer for 18 years now.

I started my career working for a small London-based design agency called 'Creative Element' before taking some time out to travel the world.

On returning to the UK, I moved up to West Yorkshire and my first job was as Graphic Designer for the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds.

I then crossed the Pennines and worked for Insider Business Magazine in Manchester.

I went freelance when family life dictated I should do so; and I've been enjoying it ever since. I'm now in my fifth year of being a freelance Graphic Designer and am enjoying every minute of it.

I genuinely love working with Theresa because she has a natural way of understanding your needs and can quickly get to an initial design concept that's completely in-line with what I want.

I've worked with Theresa on several design projects from logos to info-graphics to full brand design. Recently Theresa did a personal brand logo for me, which I adore! It's a very personal thing to get a brand or logo developed that encapsulates your core values and passions (as well as design preferences). My brief was wide because it included so many aspects of the things that I love. Somehow Theresa managed to refine this down to a selection of designs really quickly (after a couple of conversations). We had a final design within a few weeks. We then made some tweaks and revisions and I received all of the files formats that I requested without a quibble. It was simple, easy, no fuss!

Every time I've worked with Theresa she has shown patience, understanding, enthusiasm for our ideas and has a genuine interest in getting to a design that really works for digital and for our values and preferences.
